The First Gathering of the AACM, 2021

In gratitude to the Lord, the inaugural meeting of the Association of Afghan Christian Ministers took place in Greece in 2021.This event marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration, fellowship, and unity among Afghan Christian ministers. It was the first occasion where leaders from various fields and ministries gathered in an environment of love, prayer, and fellowship to strengthen their relationships and strategize for future ministry endeavours.

Highlights of the Gathering

One of the most important parts of this gathering was the formation of unity among Afghan Christian ministers. The association’s leadership board was also appointed, and the leader of the association, Masoud, was chosen for this responsibility through prayer and the formal laying on of hands and was dedicated to service.

Memorable Moments

One of the most beautiful and moving parts of the gathering was the ceremony in which the leaders washed one another’s feet, a symbol of humility, service, and Christlike love. These moments, together with prayer for one another, created a profound atmosphere of brotherhood, respect, and unity among the participants.

Challenges

Organizing this gathering also involved challenges. Many participants faced difficulties related to travel documents, visas, transportation, and financial limitations. Nevertheless, the Lord made a way and enabled the servants to attend.

Achievements and What We Took Home

The greatest achievement of this gathering was the beginning and birth of a new unity among Afghan Christian leaders and minsters. Many participants met one another in person for the first time and had the opportunity to build relationships in Christ based on love, trust, and cooperation. We all left the gathering with renewed hope, a shared vision for ministry, and a hand of friendship and unity in Christ.

We pray that the Lord will strengthen this unity day by day and use it to expand His kingdom among Afghans and beyond.
