2nd Annual Gathering of AACM - 2022
Updated: Sep 18
The second gathering of the Afghan Christian Ministers Association was held in 2022. Following the initial coming together of the association the previous year, we witnessed the growth and expansion of this spiritual family.

The unity and connections that God had established among the ministry workers helped us connect with more Afghan ministry workers from different parts of the world and invite them to the gathering. We believe that this growth and these relationships were the result of God’s guidance and grace.
Highlights of the Gathering
One of the most significant features of this gathering was the participation of more ministry workers from different countries, each bringing valuable experiences, perspectives, and ministries. Participants had the opportunity to get to know one another, hear about each other’s ministries and activities, and find inspiration and encouragement for future collaboration.
Memorable Moments
This gathering was more than a formal event. It was an experience of life together as a spiritual family. Moments of joy and fellowship, including traditional dances, football games, long late-night conversations, laughter, tears, prayer, and worship together, left lasting memories for all of us.
One of the most beautiful parts of the trip was our visit to the historic city of Corinth. It was an unforgettable day as we encountered Biblical history firsthand and experienced deeper fellowship with one another.
During this gathering, we felt more strongly than ever that we were not only fellow workers in ministry but also members of one large family in Christ.
Challenges
Alongside the joys and blessings, we also carried deep concerns. Only one year had passed since the tragic events in Afghanistan. The collapse of the government, the country’s instability, and the many concerns for our families, friends, and loved ones still in Afghanistan or on migration journeys weighed heavily on the hearts of many participants. These circumstances made our times of prayer and mutual support all the more important.
Outcomes and What We Took Home
One of the greatest outcomes of this gathering was a stronger sense of belonging to a larger family: a family that God, in His grace and love, had formed among Afghan ministry workers. Despite all the challenges, we saw ourselves as part of this spiritual family and returned home with renewed hope and motivation.
We also decided to continue holding regular monthly online meetings to preserve and strengthen this unity. Although the gathering had ended, new fellowship, friendships, and partnerships were, in fact, just beginning, opening a new path for unity and shared ministry among Afghan Christian ministry workers.
We thank God for all the blessings of this gathering and pray that this unity will continue to grow and bring Him glory among Afghans and beyond.
